15 years ago today, the Minecraft Wiki (Minepedia at the time) was created by a user called Citricsquid
Today, we’re bringing back the extremely old logo for a short time to celebrate!
Happy 15 years of editing and reading, and heartfelt thank you to all of the contributors! 🎉

Huge congratulations to the successful move away from Fandom! R.I.P. Gamepedia, that was the 2nd best era of the Wiki IMO.
Not Criticsquid, but Citricsquid! I actually remember the guys name after all these years and immediately saw the spelling mistake. A testimony to how influential he ended up being.
@ChairmanMeow Can’t believe we have missed that terrible typo. Thank you for pointing that out! And yeah, they were incredibly influential in building Minecraft community.
@MinecraftWikiEN @minecraft Minecraft Wiki is part of my life and I’m glad I could be part of this community for longer than half of its age. Thank you Minecraft Wiki and everyone who made it what it is today! :blobfoxheart:
CC who I know is on fedi and was part of my journey here (I wish there were more): @MarkusRost @violine1101
Man I miss gamepedia. It was so much more usable of a site than wikia is. At least Minecraft knew how good of a resource the wiki was and didn’t let it fade into wikia hell.
Minecraft wiki is the wiki I have visited most often and it’s not even close. The amount of detailed technical information on nearly every aspect of the game is unmatched. Thanks to Citricsquid as well as all the moderators and editors!
