The Daily was good about him today too.
He has so much charisma and lies so effortlessly that it’s almost hard to see him disappearing from right wing politics after this. He’s going to be on the short list for VP, a Cabinet member if a Republican wins, and a Fox News personality at worst.
Does he have charisma? He reminds me of Ben Shapiro. Talking fast and saying extremist nonsense.
You have to pull your personal opinions out of it, for people who agree or align closely to him they don’t get the “wait a minute that was nonsense” moment. They just hear confident rhetoric that provides a solution for whatever issue, explained in a way that makes sense. He seems smart and he has an answer for everything.
It reminds me of 2016 Trump where there’s an answer that pleases everybody and the only shortcoming is that it won’t work. How do you build a multi-billion dollar wall while being fiscally conservative? Someone else will pay for it! Don’t think about whether or not that makes any sense.
In summary: conservative voters are largely uninformed idiots completely incapable of introspection or reason.
Let’s be honest, your average voter is largely a pile of contradictory, poorly researched opinions regardless of political leaning. Conservative voters on the other hand are usually actively _mis_informed, making them much more dangerous.
I’m not sure the Daily was good. It was basically a “populist with contradicting lies about race and wokism and no experience with international politics making nonsensical promises and who uses salesman rethoric to convince the Maga party”.
Which is actually pretty accurate.
Why bring race into this? The dude is a shitty human period.
Because it’s a special type of cognitive dissonance to be a POC and run for the side of racism.
