Event Horizon (1997), Sunshine (2007), and Pandorum (2009) make one hell of a deep space sci-fi/horror triple feature for the Halloween season.

Now that I mention it I think I’m going to pick up a pizza and marathon all three this weekend while shitposting on Lemmy lol.

I often view Event Horizon (1997) and Sphere (1998) as sister films that work good together.

This is one of my favorites. The atmosphere is excellent. I watched it release week at the latest showing available and was one of three people in the theatre. Watched it recently and it holds up - I didn’t even pause or touch my phone the entire viewing. Which is such an odd thing to say, really, but attention spans in this day and age are getting harder to find.

This is a legit excellent movie. A real sleeper. This was one of the first movies I watched on Netflix many years ago, and it was great. Good concept, decent acting and special effects, and a surprisingly coherent plot.

I wish they’d make a sequel where the survivors have to learn to live on an alien planet that could have dangerous animals or even intelligent beings. So much potential
