Krita 🖌️ is now available on the macOS store.
If you are an #Apple #Mac user, you can now install KDE’s powerful #painting program @Krita directly to your #macOS-powered machine.
Read why it took so long and how to avoid scammy knock-offs (of which there are quite few) here:
@kde@floss.social @Krita @kde@lemmy.kde.social Does this mean that Krita might come to the iPad *before* Apple is forced to open its ecosystem by EU regulations?
@zlender02 @kde@floss.social @Krita @kde@lemmy.kde.social as soon as EU gatekeeping regulations get passed, it’s gonna be fascinating what developers (particular FOSS) can accomplish without Apple’s absurd developer fees.
How does the licensing for this work? My understanding was that apple’s policies weren’t compatible with GPL.
@kde@floss.social @Krita @kde@lemmy.kde.social is an iOS release planned?

This is not a native Lemmy post, it’s a Mastodon Toot.
The first line of the toot gets converted to the post title over here.Seems like a relay that converts toots to posts ought to respect the conventions of the target platform.
And if the tooter knows there is a relay, it would be considerate of them to compose their first line accordingly.
I guess this is an opportunity for refinement as the fediverse expands and develops.
@kde@floss.social @Krita @kde@lemmy.kde.social Doesn’t exactly say why it took so long, just that it took a while due to sandboxing. Would have liked to see a write up on that process…

@Bro666 I mean what specific resources did krita need access to and why was it so hard to sandbox.
