Underdog? Underdog?? It’s literally the default on windows!
It’s like saying vanilla is the Underdog ice cream flavour haha
Anyone who thinks the browser that comes with Windows is the 'underdog ’ is a complete moron.
No one actually thinks that. It’s just the argument Microsoft is trying to make to weasel out of playing by the rules.
That’s what I’m saying though, if the regulators buy that line of crap they should be fired.
Edge should be treated the same way as the browsers of Google and Apple.
They all including Microsoft have operating systems that try to make people to switch to their browsers with “recommendations”.
Especially Microsoft is more aggressive today than Google or Apple on that. Because the majority of people refuse to switch to Edge.
If Edge isn’t on the same “app position” of Safari and Chrome and is treated like Firefox, Vivaldi, Brave etc… that’s a scandal.So Windows has an option to select a default browser. And then Outlook has an option to open links, where the two options are the default browser that you selected in Windows, and Edge. And it defaults to Edge without ever asking you. Seems a bit suspicious after the United States made them offer a choice of browsers.
Is any chromium based browser an “underdog”?
Is it really much of a choice? The bits around the outside are slightly different, big fucking deal.

Just popped in here to rep Vivaldi. It’s my daily driver. (I also use Firefox, Opera, etc)
Firefox user here. Vivaldi is the best chromium-based browser I’ve found, so I use it for sites that refuse to work with non-chromium browsers.
Been a user for years now.
Vivaldi user here. I gave FF a go again, oops still no proper sidebar. Back to Vivaldi
I use https://pulsebrowser.app its a Firefox fork with a sidebar. https://floorp.app is another one

What is the use of a sidebar?
Easier usage if you have Tons of open Tabs as Website groups are easier to handle and the interactability is improved with a vertical Bar.
