Waymo announced that the California Public Utilities Commission approved expanding its autonomous vehicle rideshare services across the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and two other major metropolitan areas.
How come they don’t do self-driving buses for public transit? Wouldn’t that be easier to train for? And it could work towards improving ride frequency, expand routes and reduce traffic?
In the Bay Area I see all these commuter buses that the tech companies pay for, how come they don’t automate those?
