The Swiss International Air Lines’ (SWISS) fleet is complete again: on Sunday, the airline retrieved the last of its aircraft from the Jordanian capital Amman.

Twenty-five aircraft had been temporarily parked in Amman when passenger numbers plummeted during the pandemic.

The Airbus A320 took off again with passengers for the first time on Tuesday and flew to Berlin, SWISS announced. It was the last aircraft to be brought back from the desert by a specially trained crew after more than three years in a “deep sleep”. …

    One of the very first flights they cancelled was my flight to Tokyo. They sent an email saying: “We regret to inform you that your flight will be cancelled. To apply for reimbursement, please follow these instructions: […]”

    So I followed the instructions and they didn’t reimburse me for 1200 CHF. Why not? They worded their email cleverly: “will be cancelled.” They apparently only actually cancelled it the next day.

    Fuck that airline. I’ve been boycotting them ever since, including for my business travel. I will literally pay twice as much if it means not giving them a nickel.

      Every airline does this crap.

      Lufthansa cancelled my business class seats…just to have them be sold at a higher price. (I was checking flights to rebook with other airlines and business class seats were still available but for a much higher peice).
