I just finished it last night and it was shockingly great! Dollface and Axel were teased or shown in the finale. It would have been news if they weren’t being adapted in the second season. I’m really curious how they’ll do Axel. They haven’t done anything THAT out there yet.
I wonder if Calypso is going to be full on supernatural or just very well connected.
It would be cool if they did Calypso such that you couldn’t tell if it was supernatural or just resources.

Cool! The first season was surprisingly entertaining! Lots of Easter eggs too. I wonder how they translate the tournament to the screen, and hope it works out!
I’m sure each episode will be a 1v1 to the death for the last 5 minutes. I’m curious if they’ll be free to come and go between matches and show that or if it will fill in the rest of the episode with flashbacks.
Like others, I didn’t expect much, but I loved the old games so I thought it’d give the show a try. Man, I was surprised, it was fun, light hearted, violent, full of vulgarity, it was just a fun ride!
I just wish the main character’s car had more size appropriate guns, they’re itsy-bitsy. But outside of that, they did a great job adapting what little story and atmosphere there was in the games to a show.
I’m completely certain the second season is going to be more armored and more gun power, since John at least will have the backing of the city.
I went in expecting nothing and I came out thoroughly entertained and wanting more.
Really looking forward to this!
