    Furthermore, one organization that had ads placed on this content claimed that it wasn’t an X advertiser at all. In a statement provided to CNN, University of Maryland’s associate athletic director told the outlet that Maryland Football hasn’t run a paid ad campaign on X since 2021.

        Running unauthorized ads to make it look like most advertisers haven’t pulled out of the platform.

        Likely to hide the real number of advertisers left, but also likely because Musk fired a good chunk of the ad sales team, the one group that made money for twitter.

      I’m a Maryland alum and a member of the Alumni Association, and my only reaction to this is you’re getting free advertising but this is the team you field? I have no idea how one actively leads to the other, btw… I just want then to field a better team.
