I was blown away by Manny Jacinto in his role. I only ever saw him in The Good Place before this so seeing him in this role was completely different. He was the reason I was hooked on this show and mad when it was cancelled.

This would happen less if we stopped electing people born in the 1940s

Oil burns a little too readily for them to be taking non-violent options off the table. A paper warehouse is nothing compared to this potential.

It’s a little anti-human to lump us all together without nuance. Would you feel better if the law didn’t exist? I would love for us to not need that law because we do better, but I could say that about any law.

A big detail nobody seems to bring up about Project Glasswing is that they didn’t just prompt it “Hey, check out this codebase looking for issues” and out popped zero days. They ran each project through tens of thousands of dollars worth of compute time. Iteration after iteration and after all that they accumulate a report. Now they’ve reached out to some of the most cash flush companies to say “we can do the same for you.”

Put your quarter in the one armed bandit. Maybe you’ll get a zero day but more than likely you’ll get a “better luck next time.” But please, keep paying us. In 10,000 more iterations we’ll surely find the bug that would have cost you millions.

At what point do we put them all on a boat and wish them luck as we banish them in search of another continent?

I just checked. My LG washer and LG dryer both transmit ~30KB a day whether we use them or not. I do like being notified when they finish since they’re in the basement and my work desk is upstairs. I wouldn’t know otherwise.
