I’ve been using it (Bazzite, Aurora, etc.) basically since it came out and recommend it to absolutely everyone!

Well… not everyone. Not to the “typical” Linux user. It’s not for tinkerers who want to customise the internals of the OS.
Some users might also feel offended by the fact that you don’t have “control” over your OS, since system packages (e.g. Konsole) might get swapped out for something else the developers like more.
Already had that happening, but for the better. You have to keep in mind, they don’t blindly change stuff by random, but because it was decided by the team that x is the better choice above y and it makes sense (e.g. Bazaar > Discover; Pytaxis > Gnome Console; etc.).

It’s more for “normal” users like me and even my mum, who want sane defaults and an always working system that takes care of itself.

I really appreciate the selection of default and recommended apps, the QoL features/ changes, and the overall concept. It’s a distro for casual users in my eyes.

Hardware wise, I absolutely never encountered anything like this you mentioned. Quite the opposite. uBlue adds lots of hardware enablement, they even had specific images for Framework devices when the hardware wasn’t included in the kernel back then. Everything just worked out of the box, including fingerprint reader, sleep states, fans, and so on. Very smooth sailing.

Nothing. Besides hardware (better battery life, faster, etc.) only software has “improved”. There are a lot of “AI” features now in most standard ROMs, that’s what Google and Samsung have worked on mostly the last years, because they ran out of ideas and these gimmicks look like innovation.
But this doesn’t affect you, since GrapheneOS is pretty barebones by default. And that’s good. I don’t want this shit, I just want a debloated phone.

It’s in hydro, as mentioned in the post. It’s a recirculating drip system with LECA. The clay balls are constantly damp, and there’s an overabundance of water, nutrients and oxygen at the same time. Zero root rot ever.

Are the chilli OK or not produced yet?

No harvest or fruits yet. The flower pods fall off. I’ve checked the EC and pH, and flushed the reservoir. There could have been slight nutrient uptake issues in the last days or weeks, but nothing major.

I also saw the other pics. If you zoom in closely, you can see fat aphids. Those white flakes are their exoskeletons they shed when maturing.

Get some neem oil and silicate, that will get rid of them and make the plant more resistant for upcoming generations of the pest.

Looks like fungus gnat larvae. Throw that pot out ASAP, or you’ll have a swarm in a few days.

And then, next year late spring, the others get removed too.
