The world traumatizes us all. We don’t need to be caught in a warzone to be inflicted with just the right wound to cripple us in the most debilitating ways. The solution is to grow. Challenge yourself with a big mission that casts you out of what is familiar to find yourself better than you ever were before. And there is a smart way to do this, a lazy way to do this, and a reckless way of doing this. Balance is key.

I want to share this sanskrit word: sāmadhi. This is one of the key factors of enlightenment. Basically, the words I use to describe this phenomenon, is that there is ditension - the perspective of “I am,” where subject is measured against object in the brain - and cotension - the perspective of "it is,’ where the object is measured against the subject in the brain - but then there is sāmadhi, which is balance between subject and object relationships. I’m a little more put together. I tried a last ditch effort of intentionlessness to reach out to my father, make him care about his son’s art. I think there is a time to build up and a time to tear down. True growth only happens when you are outside your comfort zone, but it is perfectly fine and dandy to want to have control over that. At the least, there needs to be a passive force within the system to entice people into growth that can be stepped away from or engaged for general positive growth. There needs to be beneficial governors of men (people).
