I see a lotta people mention humam shit on the sidewalk in SF because an app that let you report such things got flooded by trolls once and some funny meme images csme from it.

I’m there fairly regularly and have never seen shit on the sidewalk outside of the occasional dog turd some asshole owner didn’t pick up; which I see almost everywhere I’ve been in the world, too.

The worst thing I can say about SF is the traffic is terrible despite having pretty decent public transportation. I never drive there. I drive to Livermore and take BART into and around the city and walk everywhere else. And if not for Musk’s dumbass I might have been able to not even have to drive to Livermore; they were planning on extending BART where I live and I’d have been able to never need a car to get to the Bay Area at all until that dipshit lobbied against it.

I was a reverse bear in high school. I don’t like the heat, so I would sleep most of the summer when I was off school.

I can agree EA makes relatively well polished and fine looking games, but anyone old enough to have seen how the shift in creativity and passion becomes apparent when a company was swallowed by them and has a deeper understanding of the artform will tell you they do not have good games.

All the actually good games they do have under their umbrella and made in-house tended to be treated as throwaway products by the execs and so they kept their grubby hands off it. See the first Mirror’s Edge. As soon as these get any attention from consumers, they shift the vibe for the sequels they insist on making.

The food court is almost always gated off from the entrance so you only get to it after getting through the check out where I am. The one exception is the one just down the street that has rhe food court outside. Don’t even need a membership to get the hotdog combo at that one, and it’s easier to get it before even going inside to shop.

They also are well known for the free samples. You don’t need a hotdog and a pizza if you’re just hitting up all the sample stands. Basically get free lunch just shopping at Costco on a Saturday or Sunday. 🤷‍♂️

Actually no. Starfleet has pretty strict limits on what you can replicate specifically to stop this kinda thing. It won’t let you replicate a material that pretty much only has use in explosives, for example.

I’m sure Cardassian replicators had the same shit, but their reasoning would be more fascist.

But if you got a Ferenghi replicator? You could replicate anything you wanted if you had the gold pressed latinum to pay for it. It might blow up in your face as it cuts corners and forgets a few molecules here and there to save energy (and thus money), tho.

I really want a Frame but I want it more for the software. If I could flash the garbage off my Quest 3 and use whatever Valve cooked up I am confident it would be vastly better. The hardware is decent. The operating system is garbage and they keep reducing its functionality every update. A good 70% of what I do with it runs FOSS shit I found on github and dev blogs because something as simple as putting an overlay on top of a fully 3D game is something the geniuses at Meta can’t figure out how to do.
