Yeah, I can almost hear how, uh, someone (?) is shaking their fist in impotent fury at that album and yelling “curse youuuuu, Madonna, for releasing new music!”

The pressure on women is to look young. Rebelling against that ideally includes not trying to make yourself look young by having invasive procedures that most women can’t even afford. Again, get all the plastic surgery you like. But it does send a signal and it isn’t “I accept that I am not 23 anymore, society can go fuck itself”.

Anyway, accepting for the moment that encouraging women to grow old while not caring what others think about them is her cause. Is that it? Because others are doing a much better job of that.

Now, I haven’t followed her because the last time I was consciously aware of her music (some time in the 00s, I think) it had started to become generic so I stopped caring. So earlier I tried to hint at a thing that I found actively annoying about her in recent years, namely her NFTs. Want to comment on that? How she jumped on that dumpsterfire of a bandwagon to make more money?

So she released new music that I haven’t heard of. That counts as button pushing these days? Whose? She’s opposing typical gender expectations? All images I’ve seen of her over the last few years showed obvious signs of too much plastic surgery. People are free to change their bodies however they like, sure, but if you want to send a message about self-acceptance and body positivity, particularly to women who aren’t quite young anymore, that’s a weird way to do that. Not saying you should stop liking her, obviously, but I haven’t seen her being rebellious in quite a while.

Ich pack da auch n Schild drunter “Bitte lächeln, Sie werden gefilmt”, mit Pfeil auf die Kamera, is mir recht. Bisher reicht das laut Rechtslage nicht, ich muss alle 140 Parteien im Haus einzeln um Erlaubnis bitten (vermutlich muss ich auch drauf achten, ob irgendwer neu einzieht, und dann nochmal anfragen) - und was mit Leuten ist, die nicht hier wohnen, aber sich aus Gründen trotzdem vor meiner Tür aufhalten, ist unklar. Sorry, now I don’t follow. You want to add some identifier to the original image? How? For what purpose? Sounds like a lot of effort if the goal is, if we’re being honest, mostly to make fun of the image, but even if it’s for serious discussion.

It’s simply a quick and easy way to make the image unable to be propagated further as propaganda, so that we can share it to discuss it instead of helping it spread. Any stray right wingers seeing this wanting to share the image with their own bubble would have to go and find the original instead of simply using the one shared here. It’s not perfect but it’s an added hurdle.

You’d get loads of corruption in the recipient selection process and the money would somehow still stay concentrated in the hands of a few. More creative ways for billionaires to not look like billionaires would be developed, leading to more tax evasion, making things worse overall.

Also, what is a “family”? Who gets to receive that money, whose bank account does it go on? Is this worldwide or just families in the country the billionaire lives in? How does one determine where a billionaire “lives”? There are loads of things that would need to be very clearly defined first and would influence the outcome.
