AI doesn’t build and maintain itself. Unless that changes, which I currently see no clear line of sight to, then it is just another asset primarily controlled and directed by rich people. Tools like that are always political.

I don’t think I want to share any fries with you

Here’s the “Ken Martin is Jesus” post of the day. Don’t you ever get tired of saying the same shit over and over?
I don’t know, all I know is I’m the best one.
For the downvoters, these are lines from a Childish Gambino song.

I’d rather hope that he never makes it to the Senate

You can be disrespectful as fuck in a gentlemanly way. That shit is better than heroin to people with generational wealth.

None of that is news to anyone paying attention. Obviously Republicans are terrible but if you’re going to hold Democrats up as our saviors then they need to actually save the day once in a while.
Republicans have faced the same exact power imbalance you described many times over the years and yet they have no trouble getting their legislative agenda passed. Why is that? Answer that question honestly and you’ll know exactly why people blame Democrats for shit Republicans do.

You’ve been saying this so often and for so long that I’m really curious to see how you’re going to try and spin it when the DNC fucks over progressives like they always do. Ken Martin is like the second coming of Jesus to you for some reason.
I feel this so hard. Why did we ever let the morning people make the rules? They’re clearly insane. What sort of psychopath wakes up before the sun is up without an alarm clock? Only people who can’t even contain their murderous rage long enough to get a good night’s sleep, that’s who.

So was retarded once upon a time which is exactly why I think it’s dumb that we keep changing the word. Assholes will always use the currently accepted term as a slur until it isn’t accepted anymore and then the only thing that’s changed is that you now have two slurs instead of one. Don’t police the language, police the intent.

I don’t think that’s true. If Talarico makes the case that Paxton and Trump are the kind of people Jesus would have whipped out of the temple, which is a pretty succinct summary of his whole campaign imo, then there are definitely people in Texas who would care about that. That simple fact is the entire reason Paxton has categorically refused a debate thus far. It’s also the reason Talarico’s interview with Kimmel aired on YouTube instead of NBC (or whatever dumb network Kimmel’s show is on).

I don’t think it matters if it’s safe in the short term to walk around with stickers like that. It’s important though, even if safety is your primary goal.
Nazi ideology is unpopular. It thrives only by making those opposed to it think and act as if it is widely accepted. If perceived acceptance allows Nazis to gain more power then you will be vastly more unsafe than you are now.
Therefore, if safety is your primary goal then stopping Nazis is one of the most important things you can work towards. It is more important for others to see your resistance than it is to be safe in the short term.

I don’t get it. If you’re that annoyed by kids then why would you intentionally put yourself in a room with a bunch of them? I don’t like loud kids either but that’s exactly why I’m not a teacher or pretending to be one.

Sure, the government could do all sorts of things to ensure bailouts are effectively applied, including giving them directly to the people who need them. They don’t do that because helping the people isn’t the goal. They just say that’s the goal as a marketing ploy.
Bailouts go to huge corporations because that’s who the government cares about. Stopping rich dudes from keeping as much of our money as possible is diametrically opposed to our nation’s fundamental economic and political philosophy. Of course they don’t make a serious effort to keep it from happening.

Or it might tell you to put glue in your pizza

If the MAGA crowd critically evaluated his promises he never would have been President, certainly not a second time.
I don’t disagree with the logic of what you’re saying but the likelihood of it actually happening that way seems low given historical trends. There are lots of examples of things that could or should have helped working people live better lives but ended up primarily making rich people richer. I don’t think AI is different in that respect.
