That’s pretty standard for DC fast charging in the US. I have the luxury of being able to charge at home overnight for a fraction of that, but if you’re road tripping or you don’t have the living situation to charge at home then you’re pretty much stuck with DC fast charging at much higher rates.

I think their motorcycle lineup is stagnating too. Honda used to make cool new bikes that pushed the technical envelope and disrupted the market. They pretty much single-handedly killed the British motorcycle industry with the CB750 in the 1970s. Now most of their bikes are very conservative ‘safe’ bets. I guess they probably still sell millions of bikes every year though, particularly in asian markets.

Even some other GM models with Android Automotive have CarPlay/Android Auto, such as the Cadillac Lyriq. They’ll likely remove it the next time those get a refresh though.

Having to actually manually mount network shares to my filesystem in KDE in order to do simple stuff like drag-and-drop files from them to a browser window, which just works in ol’ Windows.

But really, I’m generally very happy with my experience with Linux in 2026. Most problematic things are because of the behavior of shitty OEMs or publishers, not Linux developers. Things have improved in leaps and bounds over the past few years.

Google says the cost for Russia to replace one is 45-60 million dollars. They’re also used as a platform for launching heavy cruise missiles, so that sounds like a pretty juicy target for Ukraine to take out.

I’ve been a lifelong Windows user since Windows 3.1, and truly feel that Windows 7 was when Windows was at its peak. Windows 11 was the straw that finally broke the camel’s back, with all of the constant pushing of Copilot and Office 365 and ads in the start menu and so forth. Fuck that, I bailed out about 2 years ago.

I’ve dabbled on and off with Linux since Ubuntu used to be distributed on free CD-ROMs, but never stuck with it for long, but things have come a massively long way since those days, and now Linux is very usable as a daily driver for many people. I feel like it brings my computer back under my control instead of someone else’s, and isn’t always trying to sell me out in the background. I eased into it with Linux Mint, and Fedora 44 with KDE is now my distro of choice.

I still have a Windows 11 installation on a spare 256GB SSD, but I only ever boot it up about once a month just to let it update itself in case I need to use it for something I can’t figure out a way to make work on Linux.

Over 1,000 KG payload on those guys. That makes for a big boom.
