How many people in the US have “been on tv”. There Isaacs got in my hometown who’s whole identity is that he was a contestant on a committe cooking show. I’m trying to gauge how common it is for a random person that you might meet at a bar to have been on TV. By this I mean:
- non actors
- not the news -not just in the audience
I think that predominantly leaves game show contestants and reality tv show contestants. What do you think?
Once when I was in high school the local news channel installed a weather station on the school roof. They sent a camera crew and a reporter to cover the “grand opening”, and I was in several shots. After the initial news report (which doesn’t qualify under OP’s params), they used the footage in commercials that advertised the news show.
