    I was getting echoes of “family of blood”.

    Yes, great point - something about the way they cricked their necks made me think of that one delightful weirdo in the Family every time.

    Ruby was good in this

    She really was - for some reason, though, I feel like I don’t have a strong grasp of her character. I have a feeling the next episode might take care of that.
