If he makes it to the presidency, we’ll have two comedians running countries (the other being Zelenskyy, who used to host Ukraine’s version of The Daily Show). How weird would that be?

Usually we just call politicians comedians because they’re a joke.

Are you sure you want to play this game? Shall we talk about what Russia has been doing in regards to Ukrainian children? You know Russia, right? The country that invaded Ukraine when they had no need to do so?

The country that killed Russians for years just for being black?

What on Earth are you talking about?

I guarantee you Jon Stewart would never run for office. I also think he’s more useful on the outside looking in.

What’s a real shame is that a bullshit scandal ended comedian Al Franken’s time in the senate. He was definitely one of the best senators of my lifetime.

What sort of comedian is he? I feel like satirists and absurdists are good choices for political office.

Those who punch down, maybe not so much.

I’m not finding enough information about him really. According to Wikipedia, he was in a TV series that addressed the nation’s AIDS crisis and has done a lot for the Malawian film industry. He also apparently did a doctorate in the UK about youth engagement in Malawi.

On the other hand, it’s not exactly a country free of corruption, so it’s hard to know whether or not he’s deserving of his post.
