As far as battle Shonen go, this is amazing. I had zero expectations, never read Manga etc, and I’m pleasantly surprised. The spiritual power system and symbolism are on point imo. Simple but beautiful show and I love the art style. Animation amazing as usual from mappa.

Yup, ended up reading the manga halfway into the season. It’s great. If I had to critique something, it’d be how fast the mysterious island premise is dropped in favor of more generic battle shonen antics, but as far as battle shonen go, it’s hell of a solid one.
Better. It’s nice to finally get some action, but it still feels like a standard shonen battle anime though.
