I always thought Academy was going to be a vehicle for Wiseman since they seemingly did a stealth pilot in DIS and wrote Tilly out for most of the season. So yeah, it’s really surprising she’s only going to be a guest. Maybe it’ll be like when Michelle Yeoh was a guest but was almost a regular.
