Alternatively, tumbleweed is brilliant too. real!! just do the thing to disable snaps and it’s perfect for anyone EDIT: actually turns out snaps have gotten really good lately, ubuntu is still great!!!

And you can do some things that debs can’t, like setting up an entire nextcloud installation with a four-words-long terminal command.
