I use a recipe that just brews in an inverted Aeropress for 10 seconds, so it comes out faster too, although most recipes call for brewing for longer. But the quick method is great if I’m in a hurry that morning. One downside to Aeropress is consuming paper filters, but I also have an aftermarket reusable metal mesh filter, and it works great. Another downside is the dreaded “inverted Aeropress” disaster, which I recently experienced. I hold it by the plunger now ;-) I alternate using both french press and Aeropress to keep from getting bored with my coffee.
