I’m honestly torn. I’m always torn. Half of me says that I should stay, that I should fight and die here the same way my ancestors did. The other half of me, however, says ‘why the fuck would you shed your own blood for a lost cause?’ I no longer believe my people will ever end up capable of pursuing self-determination here-- in fact, I consider it more likely we all die for nothing if we tried it.
