The South didn’t invade first, there were just repeated “border clashes” where South Korean soldiers advised by the US wanted to get ice cream from the soda shop but took a wrong turn and ended up in North Korea

Was this consistently southerners in the north and not the reverse?
I don’t think you can really apply that sort of northerner-southerner thinking because the border only arose in the last few years and you’ve got left leaning fleeing the south and anticommunists going south. But recollection it was generally as you put it.
