Many were nomadic and did not have a concpet of owning land anymore than you could own nature. Those were the general areas particular tribes migrated around.
Unfortunately, a lot of people read 'they didn’t have a concept of personal property’s as ‘no one owned this so it’s free for the taking’ regardless of the collective ownership and usage of the land.
yeah. after writing I sorta wondered if someone even in modern times would make that argument. Its crazy. Whats funny is private land ownership is illusionary in any society.
