There’s no way to ask this without it coming off as a roast, so I’m just going to lean into it: What the fuck do Canadian tourists do in Montana? Look at mountains? Why, did Canada run out?

Montana borders both Alberta and Saskatchewan. A lot of people on road trips to other destinations in the US travel through there as a result, and may schedule stops at the national parks Montana has for example.

I do expect the hospitality sector there is being affected more than the tourism sector itself.

I remember, it had to be early 2000’s, my family and I were down in Southern Saskatchewan. I do not remember where it was but we were close enough to pick up some US FM radio station during the day so we were fairly close to the boarder. Any who we almost went decided to go across the boarder but my parents thought about it and decided not to cross the boarder because we did not have insurance. Now that I am cleverly disguised as a mature adult I would not make a stop in the US even if I had insurance because I could be arrested and thrown in to a detention centre just because I am not a US citizen and I am proudly out as Trans.
