A police officer has been suspended from duty after videos circulated online showing him transporting a refrigerator in the open trunk of the patrol car he was driving in the Kamareto district of Athens.
Totally agree on all points, was just trying to be diplomatic about it. Even worst case scenario (400 pounds with the heavy end hanging out the back), I doubt it would have done much damage unless it fell out during transport. Still a bad idea to store or transport a fridge in any orientation but upright. And cosmetic damage is still damage; maybe something I’d risk with a personal vehicle, but I’d expect consequences if my boss caught me doing that with a work vehicle.
