Fun fact: Terry Pratchett loved this comic and shared it himself.
Hey everyone! In case you haven’t noticed, this is a new community focused on NonPolitical Comics (NPCs), which essentially means no gloom and doom of the day stuff.
If you like the idea, help out by posting a comic that you enjoy for us to share!
Ah! Can you take the politics out of Discworld? I don’t think you can. Even this comic is making a subtle argument about what is and isn’t deemed appropriate for children - that you can deny the existence of “things not meant to be safe”, but you are also denying them the important lesson that there are unsafe things in the world.
But I’m also being pedantic. The intent of this space would be better described as Comics Outside (K)urrent Events. We’re here for bumps of COKE
Boy scouts which is often kids under 15, have knives
At least where i live.
Theyre even allowed to carry them in public, if they are in their uniform. Unlike “regular citizens”
A kid getting hurt is fine. Life lessons are important
A knife sure, but what about a sword?
I would have gone to scouts if everyone was carrying a zweihander.
Where do you live that its illegal to have a knife??
It’s not illegal to have a knife but, in many places, carrying a knife in public is, unless there is a good reason for it; e.g. going on a camping trip, hunting…
If police stops you and find you a knife, they will ask questions. It’s ok if you have camping gear and are going to camp so you need it. It’s not ok if you are going to a club at night.
But what if it’s knife night at the club!?
Then you probably should have brought a gun to increase your odds
