I wish I could go to a furry convention, but I can’t afford the closest one, not because of the price of the ticket, but mainly because it’s mandatory to pay for the hotel of the con along side of the tickets. Which for me isn’t a good deal since I have a friend who lives near of the convention, the ticket is actually quite cheap compared to other cons. I also don’t plan of going far away and take a hotel just to go to a furry convention at the moment. I don’t have the time and most of the conventions are at times when I can’t really go to those conventions.

So I really wish I could go to a furcon, but I don’t plan on going to one.

I’m going to the second Fur-Raven this February, here in Porto Alegre, Brazil. It’s a cool, small rave with furries! :3

Conventions typically update their websites with more information as the date gets closer.

That said I usually just go to my own local city’s convention. It’s a decent size and it’s a fun escape from reality for a weekend.

Many suiters love to get proper photos taken of their suit and there never seems to enough slots available. If you have the knowhow and camera gear, it’s fairly easy to make money by providing custom photoshoots during cons.

    Nope, never been to one.

I’ve been to a few anime/comic cons, and there are always furries at those. I tend to have the most respect for furries at the summer cons. I try to compliment their fursuits and remind them to stay hydrated. If the water wasn’t so expensive, I’d offer them water, but fortunately a good summer con will have hydration stations, and taking any beverage from a stranger isn’t a great idea. Water bottles should be safe if they’re sealed, but a crafty person can re-seal them with a bit of care. Still, the thought is there.

Can’t really say I’m not a furry anymore since I cosplay the guy in my profile pic (Tom Nook from Animal Crossing). But I don’t have a full fursuit, I just have ears, a tail, and the outfit. (And a Bells bag my wife crocheted.) Thinking about doing a mask, bonus if it hides my “human” ears. Even so, it won’t be full furry — those folks deserve all the credit.

For me the therm Furry is not just about having a furrsuit, but being a member of the general community (so liking related fandoms, liking the art, cosplaying, …).
Honestly I don’t even have a fursona myself, but still consider myself as a Furry and a part of this community.

        Interesting.

I don’t fully understand the term fursona, but I am familiar with it. When I’m cosplaying, I act like the character, including speaking in chirps that mimic language. I try to act as the character does.

I’m not ready to adopt the label “Furry,” but I absolutely do appreciate the community. I’m happy as a spectator.

Perhaps I misunderstood. I do appreciate the culture and community and what it represents.

Interesting data about furries. I didn’t have time to read all of it, but I skimmed it.

My guy I think it’s time for you to cross de nile river. We don’t all have suits and you have more of a costume than I do.
