I watched the original run back in the 90s and still occasionally find myself humming the song about “it’s log” or “don’t whiz on the electric fence.”
I caught about half an episode of the adult party cartoon reboot and it was weird. Felt kinda like fanfiction.
I watched it as a kid as well! I still remember “it’s log” and Powdered Toast Man.
I watched some recently and I don’t think the original has held up super well.

Well that and Krickfalusi is a grooming creep. I might pirate and watch the original series out of nostalgia. But I have no interest in anything new that might accidentally support him.
Take the concept and the writers and create something new and detached.
It will not, however, involve John Kricfalusi, with the show’s creator having no creative input into nor receiving any financial remuneration from the new series. Due to a leak of an episode, it has been revealed that Kricfalusi won’t be mentioned in the credits.
Good, though as with rebooting and relaunching things. Especially without the original creative vision. Don’t is the best answer.
Ren and Stimpy should never have been created. The best thing to ever happen to it was canceling it. It should stay dead.
I really don’t see doing reboots of cartoons like this. If the simpsons or bobs burgers or family guy stopped. I just can’t see someone else picking them back up or rebooting them. I mean if its the same people like with futurama then yeah it can work. I mean family guy to me is sorta a take on the simpsons. Make a rip off sure or have them influence something new. I mean the jetsons and flintstones. Family setup is always going to be a super common thing.
