Agreed that the ingame transactions with real money is the crux of the problem, but the fix would probably need address potential exploits in advance. I could imagine that instead of micro and macro transactions, they’d pivot to making more egregious tiered season/battle/bullshit passes options. So they’d get whales with some MegaBattlePass that’s $199 a month, unlocking the primo skins and digital tchotchkes that way.
