      Another bunch?

You mean, they don’t just keep rebranding themselves whenever people realize how awful they are?

Honestly, I’m down to rewrite the Constitution. It should be done every couple decades. It was never intended to turn into this pseudo religious text we have now, where the founding fathers are idolized instead of being viewed as other dudes.

That said, this isn’t the guy that should be doing it.

Only if 3/4s of states agree to the ammendments. Sure the constitution could be completely rewritten, but again it’s going to take significant agreement to actually take effect.

Think it’s pretty important to be very vigilant in scouring every bill this guy brings up on the House floor for hidden items.

In the process, they hope to do away with regulatory agencies like the FDA and the CDC, virtually eliminate the federal government’s ability to borrow money, and empower state legislatures to override federal law.

Hey, guys! I have this brand new idea! Let’s do a federation of states, and instead of a constitution, we’ll have a few Articles that loosely bind them together. We’ll call it…erm…“The Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union,” and there’s no way it’s been done before or could be an abject failure!

This is pretty ridiculous. Here is the relevant part of the article:

“COSA insists that the language of their petition would prevent this “runaway convention” scenario. According to the mainstream legal opinion, however, an Article V convention could rewrite any part of the Constitution — including the part that requires the approval of three-fourths of the states to change it. A second Constitutional convention could therefore become a repeat of the first: One that completely restructures the U.S. government, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights according to rules they could make up as they go along.”

They certainly can do this but its not a constituion until its ratified which means it would only change ratification of its successor constitutions. The current constitution lays out how to change it but you can’t use the changes until you ratify it. Its a non issue. Now of course it could be used in an excuse type of way but anything can be used that way when we are talking facism.
