I was vaguely aware of this old strip, but hadn’t quite realised it was McCay’s, and especially that it targeted adults in contrast to kids, via Little Nemo.

Attack of the giant be-monocled gentleman doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as attack of the giant fire breathing dinosaur, though.
