People praise Superman & Lois as if it’s this great show, but Clark and Lois are horrible people who make Logan Roy and Caroline Collingwood look like better parents in comparison. Superman makes Homelander look like a good person in comparison. First of all, Clark and Lois are overbearing, controlling, self-righteous, and hypocritical parents. They lie to their kids and lie to the world to keep Clark’s secret, but when Jon lies, it’s an issue—fuck them. Also, they can never take a hint; they force themselves into Jonathan’s life despite him not wanting them around, and Clark didn’t care and didn’t do anything that Jon didn’t have powers while Jordan did. Both Jordan and Jon’s girlfriend ruined Jon’s life, and Clark and Lois just laugh it off. Homelander would even feel bad for Jonathan, and as bad as Logan is, he would at least give Jon millions of dollars and tell him to fuck off. Clark is a predator and forces Jon to be in his life because he’s a predator. They are so bad and so horrible that when Lois got cancer in season 3, I honestly felt she deserved it.

Quit making new accounts. I’m tired of blocking you over and over.

You are actively making the fediverse worse.

    A) You clearly don’t have kids.

    B) If everything they did as parents was perfect, people would have felt it was unreal, more so than even the super powers part.

    C) It’s a TV Show, conflict and drama keeps people paying attention.

    D) Homelander… there may not be stupid questions, but clearly there are stupid statements.

      A) You clearly don’t have kids.

If I had kids, I know how to respect boundaries. If they made it clear they don’t like me or don’t want me around and told me to leave them alone, I could—I wouldn’t harass them and stalk them, because I’m not a predator like how they wrote Clark. Secondly, if I was a superhero, I couldn’t get mad at my kids for lying and keeping secrets from me when I do the same thing.

“C) It’s a TV Show, conflict and drama keeps people paying attention.”

There is nothing wrong with drama and conflict, but when it’s forced, it’s just bad drama for the sake of drama. When it’s nonsensical, it’s just bad writing, and it makes the characters who I’m supposed to like unlikable. If Jon tells Lois to her face, ‘Fuck you, I don’t like or care about you and don’t want you in my life,’ and Lois continues to force herself on Jon (which comes off as predatory), and Jon is verbally cruel toward her, then she deserves it. If someone tells you to fuck off and you decide to stay in their life and they verbally abuse you and treat you like shit I feel no sympathy for you.

I’m laughing so hard right now.

You’re so idealistic. When you grow up and join the real world you’ll realize that what you said was funny too.

So you think parents should harass, stalk and their children ignore their consent and boundaries which is basically rape? So they should rape their kids? Is that what you are saying?

            Now THAT’S a stupid question.

            Good Job.

The answer to your first question is yes.

Children don’t get to set their own boundaries, that’s why we consider them children. Once they’re ready we call them adults.

If I allowed them to set their own boundaries, they’d probably already be dead. They get some pretty stupid ideas sometimes.

You mean the Homelander who told his son: It doesn’t matter if you kill people, because they’re humans? That Homelander is a better father than Clark? Because Clark is a hypocrite?

        Wait, what?! 😂

        Heroic?

He’s a psycopath who kills without care or remorse, and not even in a vigilante way, like The Punisher.

He’ll kill anyone just because they bother him or get in his way.

It is almost certainly the same person. Obsessed with Superman and Lois. And age gaps. And wealth. And street racing. And doesn’t get why AI doesn’t write fan fiction the way they expect
