Eight teams in a league of nine making the playoffs is…kind of hilarious.
I guess we will find out how much coaches value seeding versus player health, that’s for sure. It’s not a bad format once you’ve already taken the utterly bonkers step of 89% playoff participation in a North American style pro sports league. RIP regular season interest.
Perfect opportunity then to finally add that 10th team.

I have a very difficult time believing the people of Halifax wouldn’t be able to sustain a CFL team.
Toronto barely gets 15,000 fans out for each game. Halifax and the surrounding areas could easily do that.
My understanding is that Halifax’s lack of team boils down to there being no potential owner interested in running the team out of the two potential existing fields (SMU, and the Commons maybe - I can’t completely recall what the 2nd considered field is) or paying to build a whole new stadium. It’s not a matter of fans
My understanding is that Quebec City is a more likely candidate than Halifax - I think they have better existing facilities?
But either way, we need that tenth team ASAP.
