For a game that’s advertised as having “no gacha” this spotlight feels like full gacha mode on.

The removal of gold, the huge nerf to tokens, the awful duplicate protection…

No, I can’t say the new cache system is a improvement.

The old system was not perfect but was better tbh. (The time where we had the series drop on a constant schedule).

After they started holding drops (Knull and Darkhawk) it all became downhill.

Series drop won’t happen as frequent now. Because they need to have fillers in the spotlight caches.

Let’s see how things go, since now we do have a gacha system where saving 4 caches to “pull” on the card you want is the way to go.

Saved my 2 that I’ve earned for this week, and opened Echo (cool I guess because it’s new, but it’s not really useful, per se) and then a dupe Nebula which gave me chibi Zero 🤮

A week also feels like not nearly enough to have them available for, I wish they were 2 weeks each, or were just 3 stated options instead of “oh ho ho, we’re hiding the last one!”

I burned through pretty much all my upgrades to get 3 of the 4 caches and managed to get Jean on the 3rd. It feels super carrot-on-a-stick, but at the same time it’s not the only way to get her as you can use collectors tokens. Of course, I don’t have anywhere near enough of those so these caches seemed like the only remotely possible way I’d land her anywhere in the near future.
