I’m not that worried, I wish I had time to do up my backyard a bit, it’s only tiny so can’t really do much with it, would be nice to give a place for the birds to hide under the shade or something

In your backyard, you could buy a fast growing native shrub and that would help some birds and also help invertebrates have shelter. The bugs provide food for the birds. Ask at your local Landcare nursery if you have one nearby. They are usually helpful and not just want to sell product for its own sake. Once you start you’ll find it will brig down your stress levels too.
