Forgive the terrible photo, but wanted to share this Canadian company that sells bed linens (manufactured in Portugal). We got the flax linen sheets and muslin coverlet, as we wanted natural fibres to avoid getting too hot on these summer nights. It is the first time my husband has not woken up too hot in….ever? They are an investment, but they feel delightful and are really well made!
Ooh, it looks like there’s a showroom/physical store front in my town, I’m going to have to check it out! My last set of linen sheets unfortunately wore out, and I definitely need to get more.
I will second that linen sheets are the best. They’re cozy in the cold and the warm, it’s hard to beat that.
Synthetics and cotton are just way too hot
I’ve been sleeping on their organic plush mattress for the last 2 years and it’s fantastic. It looks like the price has only increased by $50 since then too, which is pretty good considering the state of the world. I also have their “eco-soy” (lol) pillows and I find them great too.
I will say that although the mattresses are assembled in Toronto, the actual fabric cover is made overseas. I can’t remember where exactly, but it’s not disclosed on their website and you only find out once you buy it because there’s a big physical sticker on the mattress. I think it’s the best you can do, not a big detraction, but since we’re in this sub I figured I’d mention it. The fabric cover is still has all the eco-certifications and whatnot.
