It’s hard to judge something from a trailer, but everything I would want to see is here. There is action, blended with absurdism and humor. There’s blunt violence, but still nuance between characters. I don’t get the CGI complaints…we’re spoiled from giant budget marvel movies, this looks fine for a TV show. I think the vibes of desolate wasteland dotted with dense colonies comes through. The creatures look rad, the power armor looks rad. If the show can make the context switches from “absurdist humor” to “desolate depression” to “extreme badassery” flow well, I think this is gonna be a blast. And the music…I will always love Fallout oldies. This trailer made me pretty excited. Dogmeat is the perfect kind of dude that will make casual viewers excited (because dog) and deep fans excited (because Dogmeat). I’m hyped, and at this stage it looks VERY much like it’s NOT gonna be another Halo. I think without having a protagonist to get to choose different factions, it’ll be interesting to do a show with multiple protagonists as long as there is a satisfying enough ending that doesn’t require every faction to win.
