U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has been crisscrossing the country campaigning for Republicans ahead of November’s midterm elections. And he isn’t flying coach.

Through the first six months of the year, Cruz’s Jobs, Freedom and Security PAC spent close to $200,000 on private air travel for the Texas Republican, who spent among the most of anyone in Congress on private flights. Cruz spent twice as much as Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s Heartland Values PAC, according to analysis of campaign finance records.
