ITT a bunch of ml users complaining about how the two party system and first past the post voting sucks. Yeah, it does, but in the reality we live in, once the general election came up and your choices were Trump, Harris, 3rd party, or don’t vote, all choices save one helped Trump.

Cry and whine all you want, but that was the reality of the world in November 2022.

Then again, I doubt many of the ml users can even vote in the US elections due to not being actual US citizens, or maybe even human.

Anyone bringing up Gaza better be bringing up the deaths as a result of Trump’s cuts to USAid since that’s a significantly bigger number of deaths from a policy that the Democrats would absolutely have not implemented. Odd that I never hear these ml users mentioning those stats…

I’m an American Marxist-Leninist who won’t participate in your sick electoral kayfabe. You can call me Russian, a bot, dehumanize me, or whatever pathetic bigoted playbook you normally follow. I am real, I walk among you, and I will agitate and fight until the day I die.

There are thousands of us across the country. Millions across the continent. Billions across the globe. You can deny our existence, imagine us to be paper tigers, but like many reactionary movements before, it’s your political grave to dig.

“Cry and whine” is a fitting description for what liberals do every election cycle, actually. If leftists had it our way, we wouldn’t have to be subject to the bullshit of Capitalist elections at all. It’s the liberals who won’t shut the fuck up about how they can’t beat the other liberals and how that’s socialists faults.

Madness. Pathetic. Embarrassing. I can’t wait until people just like you are finally on the fringe.

Thank you for your service in getting Trump elected. At least you prevented genocide from happening.

I’m not sure how, as a Trump voter (effectively), you can call other people bigots though.

I don’t suffer from delusion, so these kinds of attacks don’t have much success. The truth is that pondering trolley problems all day belies a deep lack of curiosity. Indeed, studying even cursory Dialectical Materialism allows literally anyone to giggle at idealistic Liberal rhetoric like this.

If you have to argue against shit you just made up to justify your genocidal ideology, go for it. I don’t care. You’re weak and ineffective, just like your ideology.

Converted from litres -> US gallon and from JPY -> USD, we’re at about $4.15/gallon for regular in my area of Japan (where having a car is required for a lot of things).

Japan has national reserves left for a little while yet, maybe up to 6 months at the current rate. I don’t think people realise just how car centric Japan is though.

I’m pretty sure the government has a rule that keeps it under 170 JPY/litre but, yeah, that’s going to stop being possible eventually.

We need a lot of diesel as well for trucking and farming (edit: and forestry and because plenty of rural trains still run on diesel). Diesel is still cheaper than regular gasoline here for the moment. If that goes off, we’re in trouble.

I’ve already bought enough oil for my car and tractor for a while so there’s that at least. I should probably fill up my spare diesel tank, but the fields have been so what I’ve hardly used any since I’d just sink (again).

We just hit 10 USD per gallon for diesel where I come from and passenger cars here are split roughly 50/50 petrol vs diesel. 95 (pretty much the same as whatever Regular is in the US, different measuring system) is 9 USD per gallon.

There are multiple EU countries who have not reduced their excise taxes on fuel like we did during COVID, who were paying roughly this price a few months ago already.

Right now diesel prices being $7 a gallon is the bigger concern. All our farming and transportation uses diesel, so all our food and goods are going to get very very expensive.

Yep. I lived in the US until about age 30 growing up in the countryside with family and friends in farming, trucking, and more. It’s ugly. Fertilizer is also largely from petrochem which is going to hurt in many countries

I have some people tagged that were ferocious anti kamala, that are now criticizing Trump.

And seeming pretty reasonable whilst doing so.

      I don’t understand those people

Plenty of morons on this website who still think like this. Willing to watch their country turn into a fascist dictatorship to own the libs (only more communist than most Americans are doing it)

But surely it’ll work out in the end, because their specific ideology will be what will rise from the ashes, right?

If you still think it was the funny laugh and not the years of being a crooked cop and enthusiastic support for a genocide, you have chosen not to understand the people you want to put down. It’s not that you’re confused, you’re just an asshole.

You have 179 days to find a candidate to support that isn’t horrible. Maybe at least try this time? Or don’t whinge when the people whose vote you deliberately decided you don’t need in order to win don’t vote for your candidate and they don’t win.

“Do you want to go to the pizza place or the burger restaurant, Timmy?”

“I don’t want either! I want macaroni and cheese!”

“Macaroni and cheese is not an option, Timmy, now pick from what’s available or I’m deciding for you.”

        “No! I’m not picking!”

“Okay, we’re going to the pizza place then.”

(1 hour later) “This pizza sucks! It’s all the burger place’s fault for not appealing to me hard enough by serving macaroni and cheese.”

That’s the super fucking stupid argument you keep making.

That is not a Democrat/Republican thing. It’s an America problem.

Framing it somehow as a Democratic plank is about as stupid as you can get.

It’s like saying I didn’t vote Democrat because Democratic senators get a paycheck.

Once again, you are either really stupid, or a disingenuous rage baiter.
