[The neocolony] reported 10 of its soldiers killed in the past 24 hours, including a full colonel commanding a forward base and a lieutenant-colonel commanding a regiment. It was the worst one-day loss since 15 soldiers were killed on 31 October.

(It could be an undercount, too.)

To begin with, as a successor to the British colonial régime and like many other ex-colonial developing countries, the new state of Israel is essentially neocolonial. It is tied by an umbilical cord to the capitalist world on whose continuing military, political and economic assistance it is dependent for its very survival.

As in any other neocolony, the Israeli authorities understand that you have to do something […]

The Zionist régime is formally independent; it has its own language, its own symbols, the appearance of autonomy, and so forth, but it is clear that Washington, through its financial power, has the final say on its matters, even though the régime is not its property in the same way that Puerto Rico is. In these respects, the Zionist régime is comparable to prerevolutionary Cuba (commonly known as the ‘neocolonial republic’). That is why I call the occupation of Palestine a neocolony.

I see ur point that israel is a neocolony of the west, and i suppose i miss interpreted what u meant when u called israelis neocolonialists, i thought u meant that Palestine was a neocolony of israel which i would disagree with, their relation is much closer to what the us had with indegenous nations in the 19th century.
