Are such third-party devices trustworthy? A few months ago it turned out that a lot of Android set top boxes that you can buy on Amazon come with pre-installed spyware that you can’t remove. Wouldn’t the same be a risk here?
Honestly that’s the first time I’ve heard of that but at the same time that wouldn’t surprise me.
I’m hoping there are people who have done the tests required to find any problems like that.
It would be business suicide though on some of these companies.
