    What you need to keep in mind is that corpos embracing the values of younger customers mainstreams those values and moves the Overton window. Regardless of the motivation, it’s a W.

    Conservatives understand this; it’s why they resist it so hard.

      Socially, yes, so ultimately it’s good, though it doesn’t shift the Overton Window economically.

    I mean, as a cynical, jaded, whateverer - I get it. But believe it or not there are a couple of people in those companies who do actually support good things and make an effort to say so.

    Does it excuse all the harm they do or whatever? Nah. But just saying, it’s not 100% cynical manipulation, there’s some percentage of it which is honest. And there absolutely was a time when they didn’t even have that. So, one could look at it as an improvement.
