Wait, doesn’t he know the Whitehouse is in Washington DC? He literally tried to overthrow the government in order to stay in that - “filthy, dirty, falling apart, and very unsafe” - town.

    Make. It. Make. Sense.

I wanted those grapes, I tried to get those grapes. When I couldn’t reach them and somebody else got them, they’re gross and I didn’t want them anyway. I’ll still take them if I think I can get away with it and then they’ll be good.

      Make America Sour Grapes Again?

When you put it like that it really reinforces the question:

If Donald Trump had gotten the love and affection he so desperately craves when he was a child, would we all be living through this bullshit today?

When our progeny look back on this chapter of history I think in part it may be seen as a case study on the kind of moral tragedy that can befall an entire civilization when one man lashes out in an attempt to justify his own lack of self acceptance and belonging.

Imagine living your entire life as a series of lopsided power dynamics where you are always sizing up everyone around you because there is nobody in your life you respect enough or that respects you enough to check your behavior.

It is both fascinating and terrifying to watch this play out, and to consider the micro/macro scale implications of this period in time. Hopefully our collective consciousness is impacted by these events as to reinforce the ideal that the moral arc of society cannot and should not be dictated by the whims or misguided ambitions of one man.

Half of America that didn’t get the love and affection they needed would have voted for some other guy who didn’t get the love and attention he needed.

          It’s a systemic issue

For sure. This is all baked in. People don’t love themselves by design, and if you do, your most likely some form of outcast.

Wow well said. It’s really a pitiable state. I wouldn’t wish the DT perspective on anyone, ever. It’s an indictment on us and our whole thing that he got this much pull in the first place. Your last paragraph sums it up.

Some people get caught in their lies year later, I personally had friends who would contradict themselves on a weekly basis, but to do it on this level is truely insane.

These are lies that are more like “I can just lie to these people, regardless, cause they all wish they were me anyway”

          Real sad.

It’s like an insecure crazy ex. “I could get back together with them whenever I feel like it. The restraining orders and daily therapy at 244 Main Street are just defense mechanisms that dumb slut and I can get past together!”

I do appreciate that he went out of his way to correctly use oxford commas though.
