I was threatened with a psych hold as a kid and they told me I better consent to it otherwise it’ll be involuntary and ruin my future. Seems like every other MD is a complete and utter sociopath.

This is why I’m not going to see one in this country for anything other than bleeding out. I’m not spending hundreds of dollars just for a one minute conversation that ends with them telling me to fuck off while they joke with their colleagues about me being ugly or whatever.

About a year ago they figured out that 1 in 10 covid infections that were aquired in a hospital resulted in death, maybe that’s improved since, but of course they stopped tracking hospital aquired infections last year.

We are killing off the most vulnerable (and most expensive to keep healthy) population. Solving the “social security crisis” by making sure we are all dead before we can retire.

    • I really believe the only way to fix the rift in society created by covid is to have covid Nuremberg trials. Every governor, most mayors, and most elected members of federal and state governments, must be executed if we live in what can in any way be considered a moral society.

Most hospital administrators and university presidents would be on that list too. Bar and restaurant owners maybe shouldn’t be shot for their part, we’ll give them the mercy of just taking their businesses and any other assets and maybe a couple years in prison.

Even so-called progressive nurses and docs test my patience tbh. Their favorite pastime is complaining online about their patients and labeling literally anyone in pain a drug addict. Their god complex makes them shameless.

      • labeling literally anyone in pain a drug addict

I understand that the opioid crisis is a big problem and painkillers have been overprescribed, but I also don’t really think doctors should deny people painkillers pretty much ever.

If people are addicts and not actually in pain, okay? How’s that your fucking problem? Give them education and narcan along with their pills and stop fucking whining.

Pretty tru honestly. Like who are you to personally take their addiction away? I don’t care if you went to medical school that just means you should know better than anyone what happens when you keep and addict clean by force.

Exactly. I’ll even grant that there’s a place for rehabs to deny people drugs and even to force people to get clean against their will. I’m not gonna say “No addiction isn’t real and we should fully let addicts make their own choices no matter how destructive.” But hospitals and other doctors when that’s not the main issue at hand can fuck all the way off.

I think this both on a fundamental moral ground of “why do you get to make that choice for them?” but also for logistical reasons. Because of this disgusting behavior by doctors, patients are afraid of being seen as “drug seeking” even if they aren’t addicts, and will lie about pain and drugs to make sure they aren’t denied.

I have a weird genetic thing that means some oral opioids don’t work for me. I don’t have enough of whatever enzyme turns the precursor molecules in the pill into the actual active painkiller. When I had appendicitis it was so frustrating trying to tell the doctors “the new painkillers you gave me aren’t working, this hurts really fucking bad, you have to give me more dilaudid” without them just looking at me like a junkie. Motherfuckers one of my organs is exploding! Give me the heroin!
