I got banned from Beehaw for acting arrogant. I have NPD and arrogance is a symptom. I can be nice, I can be polite, I can be kind, I can listen and act with care and be concerned with doing the right thing, but I cannot choose not to be arrogant. Arrogance isn’t an action, it isn’t a decision, it’s a feeling.
