Hello BlursedImages community.

Thank you to those who participated in our previous poll. We must apologize, as the poll we held before was not properly agreed upon by the moderation team, with some options not being formally approved by the team. As such, we will need to re-poll a section of our poll out of fairness to the community.

Our first question, “Should our community keep protesting against the API changes?”, was met with an overwhelming vote in favor of continuing our protest (82.3%). To avoid double jeopardy issues with our community’s voting, we will respect that strong majority who wish for us to continue our protest. We serve our community, and therefore we believe we should follow their wishes.

As aforementioned, all of our “continue protesting” options were not formally agreed upon, and as such, we need to re-poll out of fairness. A team member, without full team approval, added a joke option that unfairly took votes away from the serious choices. This joke option was nonsensical, as it would merely confuse our users, create harsh and arbitrary moderation, and overall destroy the original intention of this sub in a ridiculous attempt to “stick it to the man.” Ultimately, we as a team realized that turning the subreddit into a Will Smith photo dump wouldn’t be an effective protest against Reddit, and served to only hurt our users. For the health and future of the subreddit, we have removed that option for this new poll, so that we may get a fair idea of what our community wishes for us to do next.

Thank you for your patience with us. We are in troubling times, and running this subreddit has become surprisingly more difficult as of late. We promise to do our best in the coming days. Please take a vote on our next action as your input is NECESSARY. We do not want to act without your instruction.
