Man, if I fuck up at work, it’s possible someone gets their pay a day late, and when it happens I feel like such a loser.
But at least I haven’t accidentally released any wanted would-be regiciders, so that’s nice I suppose.
“Accidentally”
I find it hard to believe an Interpol most-wanted billionaire cartel leader just happens to be released “accidentally”.
You’d be surprised at the power of compounded examples of “eh, not my problem” in a bureaucracy
You’d be surprised at the power of “fuck up this paperwork and we’ll give you a bag full of cash and not kill your family.”
Knowing drug cartels and how they operate in Mexico, the bag of money is the least likely part of that scenario. Generally not having your entire living bloodline killed is enough of a motivator.
People get upset if the stick is not accompanied by a carrot
They still salty about 1648
Interesting: although the Dutch news outlets carry extensive messages about Karim B and his escape, none of them mention that it was him threatening Princess Amalia or PM Rutte. Amalia actually went to Spain to study because of the increased danger in Amsterdam. And then they find Karim B. also in Spain…
I wonder how credible this Politico article is and what the stories in Spanish outlets are. Please share links…
This is a huge embarrassment to the Spanish throne, as they were recently thanks by the Dutch royals in a huge state visit for ‘keeping their daughter safe’ during her stay in Madrid, where she went as the threats were too great for her to stay in Amsterdam.
Regicide? More of a French pastime, but Spain’s OK.
